About Kang Ning

Kang Ning is a Singaporean contemporary composer who enjoys composing musical material through a painterly and sculptural lens; using various timbral and textural combinations among instruments to invoke concepts of colour, height or depth in the music to exceed the two-dimensionality of the score.

She often draws her inspiration from a variety of sources – from books to paintings, cosmic phenomena and music research articles.
